My friends
This page is about my friends. It's far from complete yet, as I'm still writing the content for this site, and I will gradually add names here, whenever they come up on one of the other pages.
Heidi has been my friend since I met her in 1991 in London, where we were both staying at Tent City. We are very different people, and have seemingly nothing in common, other than the Dutch language, which she even pronounces differently from me; she is Belgian and speaks Flemish. Nevertheless, we get along really well.

Kisho
Joey (pronounced Ju-wee, not like Joey Tribbiani in Friends) is the mother of Chendrey, who used to be in my kids' preschool class. As in preschool the mums get to sit down with a cup of tea at the beginning of each day, conversations are common between them, and that's how I met Joey.
In the mean time she had another kid, a beautiful little girl named Juleesa, moved to another part of the city, and Chendrey went to a different school, but we are still seeing each other regularly, and I like her very much.

On August 21st, Joey gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Kisho.
John was 'recommended' to me by a character from NIWO called Dalai Oraqref. After a long OT thread in the newsgroup, we took it to email, and became pretty close friends. Right now we are mainly interacting through MSN, as John has moved to Mexico in February, to live with his girlfriend Esme. Read about their life together in Mexit.
Martine used to be my sister's friend, but as we liked the same music, we ended up going to a concert together, and discovered we were both very interested in anything about London, so that's why we decided to go there together, for a two week holiday.
When she moved to another city, we lost sight of each other, but thanks to a lost schoolmates website, we found each other again, and soon we are going to meet up after a period of 18 years.
She is also engaged in freelance webdesign, with her company Filos.
Mireille I met when she had just bought her first car, a FIAT Panda. We drove around Holland and Europe in that car, and even slept in it on occasions. I spent a lot of time with Mireille, and we almost always had great fun. One of the things we used to do, was hang out in Theater-Café Plan C just about every Saturday night. Most Saturdays there would be a TOP 40 cover band playing, and a sort of disco afterwards. Those were the days. :-)
Now, Mireille is married and has two little girls, and we've stopped driving around Europe and going places together, but we are still in contact.
Rachel is a very close friend of mine, whom I've met through a mutual friend, who invited us both to go to a Hot Legs gig in Rotterdam. We found we both were very much into photography, mainly concert pics, and since that day (somewhere in 1990 I think) we have visited quite a few gigs together, each taking photographs in her own style.
Nowadays I have stopped taking live pictures, while Rachel has improved it, and is actually starting to receive a lot of credit for it. Have a look at her website.
